Ian Phillips is a chartered landscape architect and town planner with over twenty years’ experience working in the public, private and voluntary sectors and in both rural and urban settings. Building on this background, he established an independent consultancy practice in 2007.

He offers a portfolio of services relating to landscape and planning and is able to extend these in both scope and scale through collaborative working with others or additional resources to meet the needs of a project. As a sole and independent practitioner, He provides clients with the assurance of personal and professional attention in all his work.


Ian makes effective use of technology, including GIS, digital imagery, database and project management software, to provide a responsive and professional service to clients. He applies his experience and skills to address the opportunities and challenges presented by the interfaces between planning, landscape and community interests.
